OAK Island Gallery - Headless website for the “Sexies Art Gallery” in Stockholm

We immersed ourselves in both the art world and music culture, exploring gallery sites, cultural platforms, and creative portfolios. This process revealed OAK Island’s ambition to balance credibility in the art realm with a rebellious, nonconformist edge. Those insights shaped the design direction, guiding how we merged minimalist structure with expressive visual cues.

  The final site acts as a digital exhibition space: minimal layout, strong typography, and refined visual details let the artworks take centre stage. At the same time, subtle dynamic touches and raw accents deliver the rock’n’roll attitude behind the brand.

  Behind the scenes, we implemented WordPress as a headless CMS tied to a SvelteKit frontend. This allows OAK Island’s team to manage content seamlessly, while offering visitors a fast, scalable, fluid experience. The end result is a site that reflects the gallery’s personality and supports its growth.
