Climate change is one of the most pressing issues of our time. The amount of carbon emissions from the internet has risen to a concerning level, and the trend shows no sign of slowing down.

Our project aims to transform the global climate crisis into an opportunity to benefit both people and the planet.

Carbon Revision initiative will collaborate with various users, as well as the organisation. To facilitate our research into the optimal project roadmap, we carried out a discovery sprint.

Our discovery phase culminated in a comprehensive findings report and an action plan for the upcoming months. We designed a website, developed carbon calculator and made a badge for the websites to share their CO2 emission.

Energy Saving Mode
A decarbonised version of a website would be one that reduces the carbon footprint associated with its loading time.

One way to achieve this is by using light illustrations instead of images. Unlike images, illustrations are created using vector graphics and take up much less space on a website, which means that the website would load faster, use less bandwidth and require less energy to operate.
